Salmon River Fishing Report 04/19/2023

Steelhead fishing has picked up with Steelhead spread-out throughout the upper Salmon River from Ellis to Stanley. The water is really low and clear for this time of year and expect it to be that way through the rest of the season with nighttime temperatures around freezing in Challis.. All of the boat launches are open now. The water is warming up some so we are seeing steelhead moving upriver steadily. Try brighter colors with flies and lures. Realistic stonefly patterns, Pat’s Rubber Legs and Egg patterns are starting to be more productive along with spey style flies. Hammerd copper, brass, gold and silver spoons, Blue Fox and other lures are also working. QIIT WISHING AND GO FISHING! Call or email us at info@thebentrod.com for more information.
