Fishing Report

Salmon River Steelhead Fishing

Steelhead fishing has really picked up these past few days. River temperatures have warmed up and the fishing is improving. Fishing pressure fairly low this past week, but it has picked up a lot over the weekend, with a number of anglers reporting catching fish.
Bunnybugs , Chain Reaction Leeches, Egg Sucking leeches and Hot Butt Stones would be a good choice for casting flys.
Spoons have been working best for spin and casting, but shrimp and roe are also working.
Flows are just a little above normal ,clear, and water temperatures are in the mid 30’s during the day upriver towards the Yankee Fork, and warmer the further down river towards Salmon where the water temperatures are in the low 40’s.
It’s time! Get out and fish!
