Salmon fishing on the Salmon River between Challis and Stanley has picked up with the water dropping and clearing up. Drifting roe or tuna balls have been working well. Also if you like fishing with lures, 3/4 oz KO Wobblers in  Gold/Flame Orange, Nickle/Chartreuse and Tequila Sunrise, and  7/8oz Flying C’s in Pink, Chartreuse or Orange. Salmon fishing will open on the 7th of July  below the Pahsimeroi to Colston Creek which is about 6.5 miles north of Challis towards Salmon.  Trout Fishing on the Upper Salmon has been good, with caddis flies ,stone fly imitations and medium sized attractor patterns like Stimulators, Trudes and Wulffs on top and Prince Nymphs, Nemec Stones and Bitch Creeks.
